And We're Off!

After 2 years of faithful service, Elder Brandon Price, is just about to be released. We are headed on our way to Ohio to pick him up. We packed up the motorhome we rented with everything we think we needed, filled the gas tank, and off we go! Sunday morning we left about 9:45 a.m. Destination: Cleveland (West Lake), Ohio. 2000 miles to our destination, but about 5000 miles for the entire trip.

We drove through Arizona, New Mexico, and part of Texas. Our first stop for the night was Amarillo, TX. About 690 miles the first day. New Mexico was very windy and we had to fight to keep the motorhome on the road. We stopped at Sam's Club in Amarillo and stayed the night in the parking lot. It started off as a very warm night, but during the long hours of the night the wind picked up and at times we thought we were in the middle of a loud wind tunnel. The motorhome was shaking and moving and was very loud. I don't think we got a whole lot of sleep. But the wind did cool things down. The morning finally came and we're off again. We hope to make it to Effingham IL tonight. States we travelled in/through so far:

Arizona

New Mexico

Texas
