The day started with getting her nails done and running small little errands (like making sure she had gum and lipgloss for her purse) and buying a rose so we could make our own boutonniere.
By early afternoon, a minor glich happened. Brittany was asked to drive her and her date and 2 other couples to meet up with everyone else in the group for dinner. One of the boy's car was in the shop, one didn't have a license (too bad Weston) and Brittany's date hasn't had his license long enough to drive with more than one teenager in the car (new Arizona rule). Oh, by the way, did we mention that she had to drive to the day activity last week too.
Brittany had tried just about everything she could so that she wouldn't have to drive...but it didn't work out for her. We volunteered our Denali for her to drive and so a quick vacuuming, cleaning and fueling was fit into the afternoon schedule. (mom did most of that).
Once the car was cleaned, the boutonniere made and the boys off to Priesthood Session, the hair and primping was started. Brittany's friend, Ashley, also came over to get ready together.
It was lots of girl fun getting ready for the dance and making sure everyone looked perfect.
At 7:15 the boys showed up. The girls were ready and beautiful. After a few pictures, Brittany grabbed the car keys and they were off.
The group consisted of 9 couples. They were to meet at Mason's house for dinner. Mitch's parents made a delicious gourmet meal and Chris's parents came to take pictures of everyone.
The dance was a lot of fun and very crowded. Brittany saw lots of friends she knew, and didn't find some she was looking for.
After the dance they went to Chris' house to watch X-Men Wolverine Origins outside on the wall with the projector TV and had all sorts of treats to eat.
Curfew was midnight and before the movie was over, they all had to leave and get everyone home. The oddest thing about the night was Brittany dropping off Preston at his house. It was kind of an awkward moment.
The night was a success and lots of fun memories were had by all!
